| There will be a children’s portion of the day from 10 am until noon in the Children’s Room on the lower level of the library. Come early for some milk & cookies and then find a good spot to listen to the award-winning stories of Nick Bruel (Bad Kitty, Who is Melvin Bubble), Colleen Carroll (How Artists See), Jerry Pinkney (Talking Eggs, Noah’s Ark), and Blair Riley (Red Slider ). The teen portion of the event will be a “workshop” featuring Elisabeth Wolfe and Annabel Monaghan who will read from, talk about, and lead an interactive workshop from their book Click! The Girl’s Guide to Knowing What You Want and Making it Happen (1:30 - 2:30). The adult portion of the day will take place from 12 - 3 in the upstairs event rooms and will include a panel discussion on "Writing Through Adversity" with authors Susan Breen and Allison Gilbert (12:00), "Poetry in Motion: A Woman of Words" with Patricia Smith (1:00), and recipes and tips from Alan Richardson and Karen Tack, authors of Hello, Cupcake! (2:00) . The Village Bookstore (Pleasantville) will be on location throughout the day selling the books of participating authors for signing.
