Writer and theatre artist Alice Eve Cohen plays all the characters in this comic drama, her own version of an ancient Italian folk tale that was as popular as the Bible in the Middle Ages. Her performance features a fearless female protagonist, costumes and props of found objects, hand puppets, physical comedy, and even a solo for two recorders.

Ms. Cohen has performed her works for children and adults throughout the U.S. and as far away as Norway, Ireland, Israel, and Trinidad. She has written children's television scripts for CBS, CTW, and Nickelodeon and a children's novel, The Tale of the Souvenir Shop.
