On
Saturday, September 24, HVWC partners with the Community Markets folks
on a fun-filled “Farm Days” for the whole family at the Tarrytown market
at Patriots Park from 8:30 - 2. The lively and talented storyteller, Jonathan
Kruk of Cold Spring, will tell farm-related stories at 10 am, and
he won’t neglect the famous farmers who captured Major Andre 225 years
ago on that very spot and helped change the course of the Revolution.
From 11:30 on, Poughkeepsie folksinger Rich Bala will sing tunes
from his Farm Songs CD. The Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Arts Council
and others will be on hand with crafts all day. And the market itself
will be in full swing.
