WORDS
PLUS
So no wonder that she and composer Chris Kubie of Brewster are thoroughly enjoying their recent collaborations. These include an environmental musical One Day in the Woods; another musical based on Julie of the Wolves (performed last spring at the Museum of Natural History and headed, they hope, to Broadway); and a just-released work, One Day in the Tropical Rain Forest, in which George narrates a story accompanied by a Kubie score incorporating the sounds of the rain forest. What a special treat to have the two of them present a special “words plus” program for all ages at the Writers’ Center! Reservations recommended: 914-332-5953. All readings include a question & answer period and a reception with books by the author(s) for sale. |
