Amorous and Funny

The Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue by Robert KleinNationally renowned actor and comedian Robert Klein of Briarcliff Manor (and NYC and LA) has been telling us funny stories about himself for four decades, but now he’s organized them into a thoroughly delightful memoir of his life from the Bronx to Broadway and Hollywood, The Amorous Busboy of Decatur Avenue: A Child of the Fifties Looks Back, just released by Touchstone. It takes us only into the early days of his successful career, but that’s all right — we know so much about the plays, records, movies, late night show appearances, HBO specials, and many awards that followed. If you loved him before for his public life and his Scary Stories at Sunnyside just for us, the book will make you love him more, and you’ll admire his thoughtful take on life as well as his famous, irrepressible sense of humor.

Reservations strongly recommended: 914-332-5953.

All readings include a question & answer period and a reception with books by the author(s) for sale.

Suggested Donation: $5 ($3 for HVWC members and those under age 18)
