Join us at this special reading celebrating the release of our Slapering Hol Press 2007 Chapbook Competition winner, Stephanie Lenox’s The Heart That Lies Outside the Body.

photo: Denise DuhamelDenise Duhamel’s most recent book Two and Two (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2005) is the winner of Binghamton University’s Milt Kessler Book Award. Her other titles include Mille et un sentiments (Firewheel Editions, 2005) and Queen for a Day: Selected and New Poems (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2001). She is an associate professor of English at Florida International University in Miami.

Her work can be found in Crab Orchard Review, Gulf Coast, and Washington Square, among others, and online in DIAGRAM and AGNI. Her work has been anthologized in Best New Poets 2006 and published as a limited-edition broadside by the Center for Book Arts. She is a recipient of a 2007 Artist Project Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and works as Promotions Director for a children’s museum in Salem, Oregon. She is co-editor of the online literary journal Blood Orange Review.

All readings include a question & answer period and a reception with books by the author(s) for sale.
