Stories and More:
A Series for All Ages
|
This family “coffeehouse” concert is sure to include David's famous “Rider on an Orphan Train,” “Fireball’s Last Ride,” and his song about the immigrant experience, “My Name Joe.” But count on hearing lots of great stories too, especially ones about growing up. You'll wince and laugh. David Massengill became famous first for his songs, performed by him from Carnegie Hall to the Vancouver Folk Fest, and recorded by such artists as Joan Baez, Dave Van Ronk, and Nanci Griffith. Now the words are winning out, and his fourth album is as much story as song. |
