Bat Boy by Matthew McGoughJoin us for a party for a “local boy,” Matthew McGough of Philipse Manor in Sleepy Hollow (now of NYC), who’s made it good twice — first, when without connections, he became a bat boy for the Yankees, and now with a critically well-received memoir, Bat Boy (Doubleday, 2005), much of it written during a residency at Yaddo. He has a law degree, but his love of writing is winning out, and Bat Boy is likely to be just the beginning of his literary career.
