Rosario was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn. She was named a "Writer on the Verge" in '01 by the Village Voice Literary Supplement, and her debut novel, Song of the Water Saints, won the 2002 PEN Open Book Award. Troncoso was raised in El Paso, TX, by Mexican immigrants. His debut novel, The Nature of Truth, was released in May and follows his successful story collection, The Last Tortilla and Other Stories, which won the Premio Aztlán and the Southwest Book Award. Together they reflect the quality and diversity of Latin-American voices in today's literature.
