The Hudson Valley Writers' Center reaches approximately 6,000 people each year through its closely interrelated programs in four primary areas:

• Readings and Events We feature the nation's most talented emerging and established contemporary writers in our reading series and at special events.
• Classes and workshops For amateur and professional writers, we offer a range of instruction, from poetry to memoir to the personal essay.
• Slapering Hol Press We promote the work of emerging poets to a national audience through our small press imprint.
• Developing New Audiences We take our stellar programs to the community-locally, county-wide and regionally-to advance the art and craft of writing among diverse communities.
