Nina Shengold
| HER WRITERS’ GROUP CELEBRATES NINA’S NEW BOOK
Amy Bloom called Clearcut, “A beautiful. romantic, alive book.” Kirkus Review called it “Erotically atmospheric...A nouveau hippie tale with boldness and spunk.” Whatever it is, Shengold thanks her group’s support and feedback for helping make it possible. Shengold is the artistic director of the theatre company Actors & Writers that performs in Olivebridge, and she is the books editor for the Hudson Valley arts and culture monthly Chronogram. She is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright, editor, and journalist. She won the Writers Guild Award and a GLAAD Award nomination for her teleplay Labor of Love, starring Marcia Gay Harden, and her play Homesteaders won the ABC Playwright Award and the L. A. Weekly Award. With Eric Lane she has edited six theatre anthologies for Vintage Books. All this and now a novel. Help her celebrate! photo credit: Michael Weisbrot | |
