The
Westchester chapter of the national Jack
& Jill organization teams up with us to bring the sure-fire quality
of a Theatreworks/USA
production, this one aimed at young children.
Called "Sweet Potato Pie and Such!" this high-energy, interactive performance features Willingboro, NJ, storyteller "Queen Nur" (Karen Nur El-Amin) and storyteller/musician Kala Jojo from Philadelphia, PA. Expect a variety of new and traditional stories, drumming and other music, some call and response, rap—and a very good time.

The readings at the HVWC are made possible in part by a grant from the Bydale Foundation; the Taft Foundation; and the Thendara Foundation; with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts; and by Westchester Arts Council with funds from Westchester County Government, corporations and individuals.
