Katie Farris is an award-winning fiction writer, poet, and translator. Most recently, the editors of the Beloit Poetry Journal selected Katie Farris’s A Net to Catch My Body in its Weaving for this year’s title in the Chad Walsh Chapbook Series. Katie Farris’s work has appeared in Virginia Quarterly Review, Prairie Schooner, Verse,The Nation, McSweeneys, Granta, and the Massachusetts Review, which awarded her the Anne Halley Poetry Prize. Farris is the author of the hybrid-form text boysgirls (Marick Press, 2011; Tupelo Press, 2019) and translator as well as co-editor of several books, including Gossip and Metaphysics: Russian Modernist Poems and Prose (Tupelo, 2014). Her translations in New Cathay: Contemporary Chinese Poetry, 1990-2012 (Tupelo Press, 2013) received Poetry East/West’s International Translation Award, which is awarded in China, annually, for a “translator of exceptional skills.” Her translations and original work have appeared in anthologies published by Penguin and Graywolf. She is currently Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Emily Lee Luan is the author of I Watch the Boughs (2021), selected by Gabrielle Calvocoressi for a Poetry Society of America Chapbook Fellowship. A 2020 Margins Fellow at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Best American Poetry (2021), Best New Poets (2019), The Offing, The Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Rutgers University–Newark.
Isabella DeSendi is a Latina poet and educator whose work has been published in Narrative, Leveler, Small Orange, The Ekphrastic Review, and others. Her chapbook, Through the New Body, was selected as the winner of the 2019 Poetry Society of America’s 30 and Under Chapbook Fellowship and was published 2020. She was also selected as a finalist for The 2019 Frontier Digital Poetry Chapbook, the June Jordan Fellowship, Narrative Magazine’s Annual Poetry Prize, and Palette’s Spotlight Award. Isabella holds an MFA in Poetry from Columbia University in New York City where she currently resides and works in finance.
