Click the colored tabs below to show only specific options. Our workshops run as multi-session series or one-day “intensives.” Note, we list the multi-session courses on the first day they meet only. The full dates of the session are described in the course descriptions. You would need to scroll back to the start date if you needed to enroll for something already underway. Somatic meditation views the body as the fundamental arena of meditation practice. Through specific practices, we observe how the body’s wisdom can serve as a guide in our everyday lives. In this regular group gathering, we’ll explore the view of somatic practice, practice meditation together, and discuss our experiences.
This group will be facilitated by Paul Griffin. He has practiced meditation for 20 years through Dharma Ocean and Shambhala. Currently, he is a devoted volunteer at the Westchester Meditation Center through which he co-hosts a monthly Family Meditation program at the Warner Library. He also runs the tutoring company Griffin Prep and regularly teaches writing, philosophy, and math. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
This group will take place weekly on Fridays from 9-10am in person and indoors at HVWC. There is a suggested donation of $20 at the door, or feel free to register below and if able, add a $20 donation to your cart prior to checkout.
Participants should bring a mat or blanket and a water bottle if they’d like.
