WELCOME TO THE HVWC CALENDAR: home of all our upcoming readings, events and workshops. You can view by list or calendar (see right menu to choose). Click the colored tabs below to show only specific options. Our workshops run as multi-session series or one-day “intensives.” Note, we list the multi-session courses on the first day they meet only. The full dates of the session are described in the course descriptions. You would need to scroll back to the start date if you needed to enroll for something already underway. But do let us know if you want to join something in midstream since we need the blessing of the instructor. Questions? Email us.

Write, Write, Write!: A Fiction Workshop for Teens with Tina Tocco (via Zoom)
July 26 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm$150.00 – $175.00
While this class is one week underway, we’re happy to accept additional students in a pro-rated capacity. Please see information below to register or write to [email protected]
We’re happy to present a weeknight summer installment in this writing series for teens! Returning students are welcomed back for new prompts and new discussion. New students are encouraged to join Tina’s classes at any time.
Do you love to write fiction? Would you like to generate new work week after week? Would it be helpful to get feedback from other teens who love and understand writing just as much as you?
In this five-week workshop, you’ll use all sorts of prompts to create new stories. There’s no right or wrong here, just the fun of diving into a world of words. You’ll receive positive feedback, so you can take what you produce in class and confidently improve your creative writing outside of class, both for your own projects and in school. We’ll also talk about the writing process, books, and any other word-related things that come into your mind. No judgment. No homework. Just writing.
This workshop will be taught via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed at the time of registration. (Please check spam / promotions filters.) Please email [email protected]
