Yoga for Writers with Beth Hahn

When we write, we might hunch over keyboards or sit in terribly awkward positions. Yoga For Writers teaches techniques that can help reverse some of the deleterious aspects of our work. The class will open with guided relaxation and breath work, then continue into a gentle series of poses designed to ease stiff joints and realign the body. This is a slow-paced class that will appeal to the beginning yoga student as well as the more advanced practitioner.
Supplies: Yoga mat, two yoga blocks, two blankets, and one yoga strap as well as pencil and paper.

Beth Hahn is the author of the novel The Singing Bone. Her short stories have been published in CRAFT Literary and by Platypus Press. She’s been practicing yoga for twenty years, and did her teacher training with YogaWorks SoHo and the Veterans Yoga Project.
