Krista has written two novels, has been a bar owner, journalist, creative writing instructor and not-for-profit grant administrator. She graduated cum laude with distinction from Yale University and holds an MFA degree in Creative Writing Fiction from the New School. Most recently for Historic Hudson Valley she organized the implementation of a New York Community Trust grant to bring Runaway Art, an interdisciplinary social studies/art curriculum based on slavery in the colonial north, to New York City middle school and high school students over the course of three years. Krista has been a regular contributor to The Hudson Independent, recording oral histories of significant local organizations and individuals in collaboration with the Warner Library in Tarrytown. She is proud to be raising her two daughters in Sleepy Hollow.
