In the Artist’s Studio: Explorations in Mixed Genre and Mixed Media Forms with Brian Turner (Zoom)

This is a 6-week workshop that will meet on Zoom, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, on October 14, 21, 28, November 4 and 18, and December 2.

In this generative and exploratory workshop, we’ll blend and fuse and weave our way into and through a variety of mixed-genre and mixed-media approaches. Think: poetry, prose, photography, music, art, film, and more. We’ll experiment with housing the work in ways that offer new inroads into understanding when we lean into hybrid, layered possibilities. Prior to the course, I’ll send a packet of creative work with contemporary approaches to what we’ll be discussing and working on. I only ask that you bring your favorite writing tools (and creative tools in other art forms) to the conversation—along with your own innate and profound curiosity.
