About the event
Together, we will shut down our censors and inner critics and listen to what our bodies want us to know. We will surprise ourselves with poems to & from the body—of love or anger or elegy or fear or gratitude, or whatever we discover while engaged in deep listening and writing. We will read other poems of the body and write our own.
BIO
Amy Small-McKinney is the author of three chapbooks and three full-length poetry books, including her newest full-length, & You Think It Ends (Glass Lyre Press, 2025). Her second full-length, Walking Toward Cranes, won The Kithara Book Prize (Glass Lyre, 2016). Her poems have been published in numerous journals, including American Poetry Review, Tahoma Literary Review, Verse Daily, among others.
