Join us for a gala evening supporting the Hudson Valley Writers Center, celebrating Literary Honoree Haleh Liza Gafori (poet, vocalist, and premier translator of Rumi) and Community Honoree Riverkeeper and its President, Sleepy Hollow resident Tracy Brown. Enjoy a reading and performance from Gafori, cocktails overlooking the majestic Hudson River, a gourmet dinner, live auction, and more.

Our Honorees
Haleh Liza Gafori is a New York City-born translator, performance artist, writer and educator of Iranian descent. Her two volumes of translations of poetry by the 13th century sage Rumi, entitled Gold (2022) and Water (2025), were published by New York Review Books/NYRB Classics.
