CREATURE CRAFTING 101 Workshop cultivates creativity in the one true no-judgment zone for young artists and storycrafters : Building MONSTERS!
Award-winning author/illustrator Jason Edwards guides kids through the process of producing their own fantastic creations and generating stories around them!
In this character development/storycrafting workshop, participants practice using Jason's simple tricks for developing an author-eye for detail, determining character traits, emotions, and actions, expressing those traits both visually and with words, and for bringing their creations and their stories to life. Kids create incredible MONSTERS and the characters who confront them, and illustrate their creations by turning simple lines and shapes into fantastic creatures and scenes. They also learn and utilize the foundational elements of StoryCrafting, producing settings, & developing the plotlines to produce their own Amazing Stories!
