About the event
The fragmented, fractured form is capacious and quite possibly, capricious, too. In this intensive, we’ll look at the work of writers such as Jenny Offill, Anelise Chen, Sheila Heti, Sarah Manguso, and David Shields, to see when and how they employ fractured storytelling. We’ll discuss and analyze what types of stories are perhaps most suitable for this form, saving the final portion of class for generating new work. There will be time for optional sharing as well. This analytical and generative workshop is suitable for writers of all levels and genres.
