About the event
This intricate and intensive class will explore and expound on the various facets of the modern short story and its evolution leading to the current form of narrative. Students will read and understand several iconic short stories and draft and revise an original short story/fictional creative work-in-process. Ideal for those students hoping to deepen their understanding of fiction and the building blocks of narrative.
This course will meet on Zoom for 6 weeks on the following dates: Sep. 15, 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20.
BIO
Radhika Sharma, longtime Creative Writing teacher, MFA, author and poet, is the author of Parikrama: a collection of short stories and Mangoes for Monkeys, a novel. Ms. Sharma has been writing for over two decades and her byline has appeared in notable publications including The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Jose Mercury News, India Currents, Tri City Voice and several others.
