Let’s Make a Play! with Serrena Norr
July 29- August 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Grades 3-5
Students will learn how to develop their very own 10-minute play in our immersive playwriting camp. Starting from idea to a full play, the class includes a discussion about plays vs movies, developing characters, internal vs. external traits, establishing tone, creating setting, structure/form, brainstorming, and more. The camp also includes some improv, art projects, acting exercises, readings of scripts and plays, group sharing, and more. The last class culminates with a staged reading of the students’ 10-minute play that parents/guardians are invited to watch. The camp includes all materials and a Let’s Make a Play workbook.
