About the event
Are you in a publishing slump? Does your submission practice need a glow-up? Or maybe you’ve rarely or never published your poetry at all? In this workshop we’ll talk about common fears and superstitions around sending your creative work out into the world and how to bust through a publishing slump. We’ll also talk about best practices and practical approaches to successfully publishing both individual poems and full-length collections. Students will leave this workshop with renewed hope and with a clear plan to move forward into their publication future.
BIO
Jennifer Jean’s poetry collections include VOZ, Object Lesson, and The Fool. Her resource book is Object Lesson: a Guide to Writing Poetry. Along with Iraqi poet Hanaa Ahmad Jabr, she's co-written and co-translated a correspondence in Arabic and English poems, titled Where do you live? أين تعيشين؟. (Arrowsmith, 2025).
