“Rust in my Mouth:” Writing the Bold Poem
In this generative poetry workshop, we will read & write poems that take risks & stake claims–distinctive, revelatory poems that are emboldened by poetic voice & that (as Anne Sexton put it) loosen the rust from our mouths. Readings will include work by writers like Anne Sexton, Tiana Clark, Terrance Hayes, Nick Flynn, Kendra DeColo, Luna Rey Hall, Bo Hee Moon, Martin Espada & more.
