About the event
This course will meet on the following Thursdays, on Zoom, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.: April 2, 9, 16, 30, May 7 and May 14.
It is imperative to recognize the importance and contribution of the Immigrant Voice, especially at a time when immigrants are more vulnerable than ever before. Those of us who were not born in the U.S (I was born in Shiraz, Iran, in 1978) often feel a longing, for a sense of “home” or “identity” that can haunt us for life. This course invites participants to dig deep within their own selves, excavate their pain, and alchemize it into power through finding their authentic voices. For those who are born in the U.S this course can offer a deeper understanding of culture and ancestry.
