How do we deliver our creative practices during these intense times of ICE in our streets, people murdered before our eyes, wars, and losing our civil and first amendment rights? Awakening poetic revelation is critical during overwhelmingness amidst urgency.
In this workshop we will begin with nature as metaphor to enlighten social justice issues. Whether you are a poet, journal writer, dramatic writer, spoken word artist, songwriter, movement, visual artist, or just feel like you wish to embrace creatively--join our circle. We are aching to find the words to access vision, rage, and restoration. Finley will provide artistic examples as points of departure such as the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost, the stenciled image series "Burning House" by David Wojnarowicz, or the concept of the Snow Queen.
