About the event
Get started on your young adult novel in this 6-week workshop! Over the course of six weeks, students will work on character development, intricacies of an ensemble cast, world building and major novel beats, all while applying craft insights to their YA novel-in-progress. We will also review the essential elements of a young adult novel and contrast it with different categories of novel writing. Upon culmination of the course, students can anticipate a take home draft of 20-30 pages of writing along with several craft tools to keep the momentum on their draft-in-progress.
This course will meet on Zoom for 6-weeks on the following dates: 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, and 3/25.
